It’s About Relationships
Let’s Work Together
Pelvic floor and pain therapy is half PT (the lengthening and strengthening of muscles) and half marriage counseling (learning good communication and respect with and for your body). You need both to achieve your goals.

Pelvic Floor Therapy Is for Everyone
We Are a Safe Space for All
What to Expect at Your Appointment
A Brief Overview
- A comprehensive and thoughtful discussion of what your body has been through
- Various body assessments for a deeper look
- A custom plan of care for symptom relief and lasting results
What Are the Phases of Treatment
1.) Diagnostic Assessment
Nothing in the body happens without the consent of the pelvic floor. For that reason, we perform multiple assessments during the first two to three visits to better understand your body’s needs.
2.) Symptom Relief
After assessing your body, we will address the largest components first and help you reduce pain and symptoms for overall relief. We practice manual therapy techniques inspired by visceral mobilization, craniosacral therapy, functional mobilization, and other soft tissue work, but we also rely on exercises and movements that you can do at home to improve your pain and function for the long haul.
3.) Functional Integration and Injury Prevention
We’ll teach you techniques such as gait training, lifting mechanics, and balance. These will help you strengthen your core to avoid injuries and other issues down the line. We haven’t done our job unless your body is working in a way that supports your goals when you do the laundry or put away the dishes.
4.) Maintenance and Independent Management
Once your body is working efficiently, we will spread out our visits to give you time to see what’s working for you at home. Our goal is to provide guidance and support so that you can maintain your progress from pelvic floor therapy.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will be charged 50% of the appointment cost. No-shows will be charged 100% of the appointment cost.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Yourself!
What should I do before the appointment?
Prior to the appointment, we will email you new patient intake forms. Please complete these prior to your appointment if you’re able so that we can spend the majority of the appointment discussing and assessing your needs.
What should I wear to the appointment?
You can wear anything you’d like to the first appointment. We’ll let you know if there’s anything in particular to wear at future appointments. More skin can be better depending on what we’re working on, so the outfit requests may vary.
Does it hurt?
Not at all! If you’re worried about internal exams, know that we perform those with as little pain as possible and that you can always decide to stop. We utilize ongoing consent in our office, giving you total control over everything we do in this room.
How often should I schedule an appointment?
The first three diagnostics are usually one-week intervals. If you are in real, acute pain from a car accident or another incident, we may request you get seen up to twice per week. We’ll discuss the frequency of visits after that point. Generally, it can be more valuable to see a PT once a week vs. twice a month. Let’s decide together what works for you.
